It might not get any better for business than it does Pennsylvania, and one of the reasons some of the country's top businesses, such as Merck and Alcoa, are found here might just be that the state has the world's 16th largest economy, generating a Gross Domestic Product of over $450 billion. Or perhaps it's because six of the United States' ten major market areas are found within a 500 mile radius of Harrisburg, a radius which includes 45% of the nation's manufacturers, 40% of the United State's population, and over 60% of Canada's population.
With numbers like these, it's hard to come up with a reason why one wouldn't want to study business here. Pennsylvania boasts a low cost of living and a high quality of life and there is certainly something for everyone, whether your forte is antiquing in Amish country, swimming in Lake Erie, reliving history in Gettysburg, or cheering on your favorite professional sports teams.
