The beautiful state of Louisiana is half covered in forest and its southern border is the Gulf of Mexico. Major industries include agriculture (sweet potatoes, sugarcane, and rice), fishing, fur-trapping, mineral extraction (salt, sulfur and petroleum), timber, and manufacturing (especially petrochemicals and paper).
